☆Booking & Accommodation☆
■What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is 15:00pm and check-out is 11:00am.

■Can I extend my check-out time?
Yes, late check-out is possible; however an additional charge will be applicable.
We will charge an additional room rate as follows:
Check-out between 11:00am and 12:00pm 20% of the room rate
Check-out between 12:00 pm and 13:00 pm 35% of the room rate
Check-out between 13:00 pm and 14:00 pm 50% of the room rate.

■Can I leave my luggage before check-in and after check-out?
We are more than happy to store your luggage free of charge at anytime.
We will leave the bags attended at the front desk area on the ground floor,
with an exception of valuable and breakable items.
Please note the hotel will take no responsibility for the loss of,
or damage to any valuable or fragile items.

■Can I send my luggage to the hotel in advance?
Yes, we will keep your luggage until your scheduled check-in date
and then hand over your luggage at the front desk or leave it in you room on the day of your arrival.
Please label the luggage with the guest name(s) and scheduled arrival date and ship it to;
Ueno Touganeya Hotel, 3-17-5 Higashi-Ueno, Taito-ku, Tokyo 110-0015, Japan.
*We will not keep money, valuable or fragile or perishable items, or anything
that needs to be stored in a refrigerator.
Please also note we do not receive any luggage sent freight-collect.

■Is car parking available at the hotel?
Yes, we have a few car parks with overnight parking for resident guests of the hotel.
If you need a space, please make sure to book a car parking space in advance.
Motorbike parking is also available.

*Ueno Parking Centre, a large car parking located near the hotel,
is also available at a discount rate of 3,000 yen for a period of 24 hours per car (standard rate 6,000yen)
for resident guests of the hotel. Please contact us in advance for booking.

Multilevel car parking tower 18:30-8:30 next morning, 3,000 yen
*A vehicle must not exceed the specified maximum car size.
*No car loading or unloading between 23:00-8:00. 　　
Meter car parking: 100 yen for 10 mins, 100 yen for one hour (24:00-8:00)

■From what time to what time can I use car parking at the hotel?
You can park your car at the parking slot from 13:00pm of your scheduled check-in date
until 11:00am of your scheduled check-out date.
Once you park your car, you can leave your car while you go out to explore the city.
If you want to park your car before or after the designated check-in or check-out time, please ask the front desk.

■Can a family with small children stay?
Yes, we welcome a family or anyone with small children.
There is no room charge for one small children under the age of six if the child does not need a separate bed.

■What is your cancellation policy?
eservations may be cancelled without charge up to two days prior to your scheduled arrival date.
Reservations cancelled less than two days before the date of arrival will incur the following charges:
One day in advance 20% of room rate
Same day 80% of room rate
No show 100% of room rate

■Do you offer Internet service in the guest rooms?
Yes, high-speed Internet access is available.
All of our guest rooms have a high-speed LAN Internet access (wired) for free.
Wireless internet access is available only at the reception area, but NOT in the guest rooms.
We advise you bring your own computer as we do not rent computers at the hotel.
Two free computers (one Windows and one Macintosh) are available for guest use at the reception area on the ground floor.
Feel free to use these computers at anytime you want.

■Does the hotel offer dry cleaning service?
Yes, we offer dry cleaning service, please contact the front desk

■Does the hotel have laundry facilities?
Yes, we have a self-service laundromat and a dryer.
Detergent is available for 50 yen at the front desk.

■Do you accept credit cards?
We accept JCB, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

■Can you put me on your waiting list?
We may be able to put you on our waiting list, depending on availability.

■Is there a curfew?
No, there’s no curfew. The front desk is open for 24 hours.

■I wish to stay more than one night. Can I stay in the same room?
Yes - you can. You can also leave your baggage in the same room.
Please take all valuable items with you.

■I wish to stay more than one night. Can I stay in the room all day?
Yes, you can stay in the room all day. We clean guest rooms everyday between 10:00am and 15:00pm.
Hang “Don’t Disturb” card on the door if room cleaning is unnecessary.
Please contact the front desk if you need new towels.
We will leave new towels on the door knob.


☆Guest Rooms☆
■Do you have non-smoking rooms?
Yes, we have non-smoking rooms as well as non-smoking floors.
If you want a non-smoking room, please tell us when you make booking.

■Do you have Japanese-style rooms?
No, we do not. All the guest rooms are Western-style.

■Do you have guest rooms with an electric bidet?
Yes, an electric bidet is installed in all the guest rooms.

■Does the guest room have a refrigerator?
Yes. There is an empty refrigerator in all the guest rooms. Please note there is no mini bar in it.
The refrigerator is disconnected. You can turn it on after you check-in.

■Does the guest room have a hair dryer?
Yes.

■Does the guest room have a tea maker?
Yes.

■Does the guest room have drinking water?
Yes, you can drink tap water. The tap water in Tokyo is safe to drink.

■What amenities do your guest rooms have?
Each guest room has the following:
Yukata (a Japanese summer kimono), towels, toothbrush, razor, glass, sachets of green tea, and Japanese tea cup.

■What if I want to change my room?
If you stay more than one night and want to change your room, we can give you a different room.
We can keep your bags until we check you in to a different room.
Please contact the front desk by 11:00am.


☆Breakfast & Room Service☆
■Is room service available?
No, room service is not available at the hotel.

■Where and what kind of breakfast is offered at the hotel?
Breakfast is served at the restaurant on the ground floor.
Breakfast must be booked at the front desk on arrival or by 0:00am of the previous day. Breakfast is 785 yen
and consists of grilled fish, rice, miso soup, salad, vinegared side dish, Japanese pickles, and coffee.
We provide fresh fish sent every morning from Fish Market in Tsukiji. - Different fish every morning.

■Does the hotel provide evening meals?
No, the hotel does not provide evening meals.
However, you can dine at the hotel’s on-site restaurant on the ground floor which provides yakitori or a Japanese type of skewered chicken.
(The restaurant is open from 17:00pm to 23:00pm. Last order: 23:30pm. Closed on Sundays and National Holidays.)

The hotel is a two minute walk from JR Ueno Station - or a 30 second walk from Exit 2 of Ueno Metro Station (Ginza or Hibiya Line) - or a six minute walk from Keisei Ueno Station.

“Lawson” a 20 second walk, and “Sankus” a three minute walk from the hotel.

Yes, there are ATMs near the hotel. Mitsui Sumitomo Bank and Jyoyou Bank are located a minute walk from the hotel.
There is an ATM at the convenience store “Lawson.”

Yes, there is a hospital nearby. It is located a three minute walk from the hotel.
There is no need to worry if feel sick while you are travelling in Tokyo.
