Ueno Toshogu Botan(Peony) garden

Place : in Ueno park
※Ueno Toshogu Peony garden was created to celebrate the relationship between Japan and China in 1980. Peony was introduced as the medicinal plant from China and it is considered the king of flowers. You can see more than 200 peonies at the garden fully bloomed.

Dondoyaki at Torigoe Shrine

※Dondoyaki is a traditional fire festival to worship and celebrate the god (year god) on the New Year celebration week started from Hei-an period.
People bring all the stuff they used to decorate their house for the New Year and burn them. Then you grill rice-cake ball using that fire. By eating the rice-cake ball, they say you can stay and be healthy for a year.

※You can experience the festivals and food of various places of Japan. You can experience the Nebuta of Aomori prefecture, Kantou of Akita prefecture, Yosakoi of Kouchi prefecture. You can also eat and see special food that you can only eat by going to certain prefecture all at the Dome festival. There will be Ramen and other traditional Japanese food and also Japanese junk food too.
